As of now, you may have the feeling that you have a very small faith. Don’t be discouraged.
Everything big today started small: people, ideas, big companies. Yes, start with whatever faith you have now. This is the first step in building your faith. And the second is: make sure that little faith is real. As a passage pointed out “through a faith a small as a mustard seed - you can move mountains”. That is - you can overcome big problem and hardships. The power of small things that are essential and done consistently and with sincerity cannot be minimized.
Ask yourself: How sincere and honest is this little faith that I have now?
Next, filter all the irrelevancies and get down to the central essence of faith.
Do you believe in God?
Do you believe that God and Christ are with you and that They will help you?
Do you believe in yourself and in life?
Belief in a few basic realities is the important factor in building faith.
Don’t ever worry about the volume of things you are supposed to believe.Simply believe in Jesus Christ, believe He is with you, believe he is helping you now, that through Him your life can be changed.
Start where you are. Do not minimize that little faith; just be sure that it is real.
Make a list all the great things that you believe in. Then, work with that list. Read it over every day for the next week; add to it. Ask God to help your faith to grow. Commit to memorize the faith passages below and repeat them aloud every morning as you get up and every evening as you go to bed.
You have now made the all-important beginning.
